About Anthea Polson Art

Anthea Polson Art specialises in contemporary Australian art and sculpture, as well as unique investment works.

After more than thirteen years at one of Australia’s largest commercial art galleries, Anthea Polson has recently established a gallery which will carry on the tradition of promoting the very best of Australia’s contemporary artists, and provide the superior service and advice that clients nation-wide and overseas have come to respect and value.

With her broad knowledge of Australian art, she is able to provide an art consultancy service for both private and corporate collections. Together with Jacquie and Lisa, Anthea will offer a range of consultancy and other services to both artists and art collectors.

Anthea Polson Art also looks forward to hosting a monthly exhibition programme that will showcase the work of emerging and established contemporary artists in their exciting new location at Mariner’s Cove, on the Gold Coast.

Anthea Polson

After thirteen years at Art Galleries Schubert at the Marina Mirage, Anthea is well known to the art community in Australia. For more than a decade, Anthea has energetically contributed to the promotion of contemporary Australian artists, actively seeking out new talent and introducing emerging artists to the commercial art world.  Anthea’s depth of knowledge and experience has made her a valued advisor to art investors in Australia, and overseas.

Now branching into her own space, Anthea looks forward to introducing all generations of art lover to contemporary art investment – and to introducing our finest emerging and established contemporary artists to you through an engaging and fun exhibition schedule.  As well as assisting you with your art investment in the gallery, Anthea will be happy to assist with onsite consultations at home and in your office, hanging and installation, framing, restoration and valuations.

Jacqueline Houghton

A graduate of Sydney’s National Art School with degree in Art Education, Jacquie’s early experience as both an exhibiting artist and visual arts teacher at Secondary and Tertiary levels, resulted in an invitation to participate in federally-funded programmes in Alice Springs and Broome which introduced members of the indigenous population to the use of contemporary materials and methods of art practice.

Most recently, Jacquie mentored young and emerging artists and liaised with those more established in the preparation of a great number of solo exhibitions, as part of the Art Galleries Schubert team. Jacquie joins us as our 'PR/editorial person’ and as well as assisting you with your art investment, will continue with her writing – assisting you and our artists with their CVs, press releases and invitations.

Lisa Grulli

With extensive travels abroad, studies at RMIT, Melbourne and a background in fashion and fine art photography, Lisa Grulli brings a definitive edge to the services provided by Anthea Polson Art.

Prior to joining Anthea Polson Art, Lisa was an integral member of the Art Galleries Schubert team - much valued by her colleagues for her IT ‘know-how’ and by clients enthused by her understanding of contemporary art practice. As well as assisting you with your art investment, Lisa will be assisting us with our photography, graphic design and maintaining our online presence.
